Test Review

Test Review

Today in class we went over some vocab term that we need to know for the test on friday.

Life Expectancy: The average number of year to be lived by a group of people born in the same year. It is measured by country.

Crude Birth Rate: The number of births per 1,000 in a country

Crude Death Rate: number of deaths per 1,000 in a country.

Rate of Natural Increase: the growth of population based solely on births and deaths.

Developing Nations: has a lower living standard and underdeveloped industrial base. Their infrastructure is bad.

Developed Nations: has a higher living standard and developed industrial base. Their infrastructure is good.

Net Migration Rate: the increase or decrease of migration in a country

Immigration: people who move to a country to obtain citizenship

Emigration: people who leave a country to obtain citizenship in a different country.

Push Forces: things that make you want to move away from where you live

Pull Forces- things that make you want to move to a certain place.

That is where we stopped we will continue tomorrow during class.
