CIA World Factbook Practice

Today in class in order to prepare for the quiz on friday, practice continued to practice on CIA World Factbook. We had to find facts about the United States on how it is or isn't the best country in the world. Some of the facts that went in favor of the United States were, the U.S. has the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world, with a per capita GDP of $49,800. Both female and male literacy rates are 99%. We also have the most airports in the world with 13,513 which is a good thing because that means we can stay interconnected with other countries with traveling. We are also ranked number two in the world with the number of cell phones which also means we can stay connected with each other and people around the world. Some of the bad things about the United States is we are ranked number 9 in the world with people living with HIV/AIDS which is really bad. The United States is ranked number two in oil production but we are ranked number one in importing oil. Which means that me use a ton of oil, even though we produce a lot it still isn't enough. Lastly, the United States is ranked number 193 is how much we owe other countries, which is the worst in the world. The United States is $360,700,000,000 dollars in debt, that is absolutely horrible. Therefore I think that the United States is not the best country in the world, the facts against the United States are much stronger than the facts for the United States.
