Cultural Geography Day 2
Today in class we continued the slideshow and taking notes on Cultural Geography. Today we talked about Language and Ethnic Heritage. Some of the facts we took notes on Language were, Brazil is the only South American nation which does not speak Spanish they speak Portuguese. Canada is a bilingual nation. French and English are their official languages. English is the official language of the world and the language of business. Some of the Ethnic Heritage facts were in Yugoslavia, many ethnic groups were made into one country(Serbs, Croats, Bosnians, Albanians), then when the strong leadership died out, the different group fought a very bloody civil war and how they all have separate countries. The United States and Switzerland have peacefully merged multiple ethnic groups in their countries. However, Korea and Japan have one primarily one ethnic group. Tomorrow we will finish with Religion.
