My Five Point Plan
1.Study for Test and Quizzes
The first thing that I think will make me successful at John Carroll is studying for test and quizzes. Setting aside time when you know a test or quiz is coming up and really studying.
2.Doing Homework and Turning Assignments on Time
Doing homework and turning in assignments will also make me successful at John Carroll because even though a homework assignment does not sound like much, those grades pile up and can make a difference in your grade. Turning in assignments on time is also important because you should always want full credit on assignments and not get a late grade because you forgot it in your locker.
3. Staying Organized
Staying organized is also important in assuring my success at John Carroll. Keeping a planner and having a folder for each will help me to stay on track of assignments and not lose them.
4.Being Engaged in Classes
Being engaged in class will make me successful at John Carroll as well. I find that when you participate in class you get a lot more out of it, and that could come in handy for assignments, tests and quizzes
5. Making New Friends
Making new friends could contribute to a successful year at John Carroll. When I have to leave class for a sports game, it is good to know that I can count on someone to help catch me up on what I missed.

What We Did in Class on 8/28/14
What We Did in Class on 8/28/14
Today in class the first thing we discussed is what Water Polo is. Water Polo is a team water sport. The point of the game is to score on the opposing teams goal by throwing the ball in their net. The next thing we did in class is meet Rosemary who's first day at John Carroll was today. While Mr. Schick was checking everyone's blogs to make sure everything was right I helped Rosemary set up a blogger account. After I was finished helping Rosemary, Mr. Schick checked my blog and everything was good. After Mr. Schick was done with me he moved on to the rest of class that still needed their blog checked. While Mr. Schick was checking blogs some of the other girls and I introduced ourselves to Rosemary and asked how her first day was going, we also compared schedule's with hers to see if we had any of the same classes. Once Mr. Schick was done checking everyone's blog it was time to dismiss for our next class.

What We Did in Class on 8/27/14
What We did in Class on 8/27/14
Today in class we started by taking role and reviewing what we wanted to
be called in class. For the next 20 minutes in class Mr. Schick checked to make
sure that we had all sent him are URL address to blogger.com, and if we did not
he helped those who still needed to. After we had all done that, Mr.Schick
cleared up all our questions/concerns about using blogger.com, like instead of
typing in Word we could just type in blogger to make it easier for ourselves.
In the second half of class we reviewed the syllabus and learned about the
lateness policy and grading policy. We also reviewed the schedule for this
year, and found out when the semester exams are and what kind of topics we
would be covering. After that we all just waited until the bell rang for us to
go to our locker and dismiss from school.

The First Day of School
The First Day of School
My first day at John Carroll was a little nerve racking, I have never been to a private school before, so things were a little different. However, the teachers, students, and staff were welcoming and helpful which made my day go smoothly. Playing field hockey at the school really helped me a lot, because I was already a little used to the school and knew lots of people. One of my favorite things about John Carroll so far is having off mods, so you can do your homework and catch up with friends. Another thing I also like sense of community and togetherness at John Carroll, in public school you get lost in the numbers and are basically on your own. I am still going to have to figure out my way around, and get used to my schedule but those things take time. Overall, I was very impressed, and I am very excited about attending John Carroll this school year.
